Our Transportation recruitment team provide a professional in-house recruitment and talent acquisition service to candidates and hiring managers alike, and we want to maintain that standard through recruiting a, Talent acquisition advisor to join the team in Croydon. We are getting busier by the day, but we want to find someone who can cope with that type of pressure and still work to a high standard.

Job Description

What you will be doing each day
Primarily you will be supporting the transportation in-house recruitment/ talent acquisition team. This would include managing the process of creating engaging advertisements for a wide variety of vacancies to their subsequent posting on our website and various social media channels. We will want you to be involved in the application screening and shortlisting process for transportation vacancies including organising interviews all the while building professional relationships with perspective candidates and selling our culture and strong ethical approach to all aspects of our work. Offering opportunities to applicants and ensuring that they have a positive candidate experience at Mott MacDonald is a key component of this role. The relationship building continues with our hiring manager community, helping you to gain a solid understanding of their business requirements.

A core aspect will also include updating our application tracking system (Brassring/ IBM Kenexa) in an accurate and efficient way. Reporting our achievements is an important part of our approach to work as is working with the team to maintain compliance with GDPR regulations.

Candidate Specification

So, do you have what it takes?
You must have experience working within a high-volume recruitment environment, whether internally or in an Agency setting as this role needs someone who fits into a team of experienced recruiters. Practical sourcing or short-listing experience using job boards, LinkedIn & social media will be expected as part of your skill set as well as previous experience of writing creative and engaging adverts. Our applicant tracking system is IBM Kenexa, and whilst experience of this system would be advantageous other applicant tracking systems (ATS) system experience would be considered. MS Office experience including Excel is required and the desire to work with data in Excel is important.

Like any recruitment environment we have challenging deadlines, so be prepared to show us that you have an ability to prioritise work and manage challenging deadlines for high volume vacancies.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment so you need to be able to stay focused and pay attention to detail. Team attitude is crucial as we rely on each other, so we will be looking for a positive team attitude. If you have a background in technical or engineering recruitment, this would make your learning curve easier. However, we can be flexible for an individual with the right approach and competence from other disciplines.
