Creating a new business stream
In this role you'll have the exciting opportunity to create a brand-new service offering as part of our Information Advisory team, within our growing Smart Infrastructure (SMI) business.
You will have the remit to define the key components of the offer that addresses the overall objective of infrastructure security, through the assurance and protection of data assets, ensuring it forms a cohesive part of our overall digital consultancy offer. Specifically, you will take a leading role in helping shape solutions to meet enterprise level client needs by converting opportunities to prospects and prospects to projects. This will include a major focus on providing consultancy services to key clients, assisting them to realise the true value of information within a comprehensive and innovative cyber security environment, ensuring better outcomes for projects and management of existing assets.
Delivering great work
Day to day you will lead the delivery of advisory projects, helping to manage concurrent priorities. You'll build the team, making best use of our existing personnel whilst adding to it in a targeted manner that grows overall capability and capacity. You will need to establish the strategy and governance of digital data and information on behalf of authors, custodians, and owners, to enable clients to meet their various cyber security business requirements.
You'll implement standards, methodologies and procedures for the use, protection, sharing and maintenance of data and information relating to their assets by applying good working knowledge of the latest data security standards, including ISO27001, the National Information Security Directive, PAS1192-6 and GDPR.
Getting out and forming relationships
As well as bringing an established network of contacts to the role that will help foster growth of the business, whilst also keeping abreast of industry best practice, we want you to be a proactive participant in the digital market. It's important that you take every opportunity to enhance the Mott MacDonald brand and highlight our capabilities; this may include conference presentations, blogs, industry forums, client networking events, industry working groups, thought leadership events and boards. It is essential to connect into internal, emerging data science and information security networks across the Mott MacDonald Group however the role will primarily be outwardly focused on infrastructure asset owners.
This new business has been challenged to start small, think big and scale fast, which will require a high degree of agility from the whole team. You'll need strong analytical and leadership skills, be comfortable working with disruptive technologies and at times challenge current practice.
If this sounds like you, we'd also like to you have:
Qualified degree in a computer systems related subject.
Extensive experience of working in buildings and infrastructure environment providing Information Security expertise.
Experience of working within and implementing an ISO27001 compliant environment.
Chartered professional status.
Hands on and practical insight of the latest cyber security standards, methods and their applications.
Experience of achieving effective information security in a "cloud computing" environment.
Good technical knowledge of a range of software platforms, databases and tools.
Great written and verbal communication skills, being open minded, assertive, cooperative, strong sense of team, vision driven.
