Job Description

In this role you'll predominantly support the US teams with a wide range of roles in the energy engineering sectors. You’ll have the responsibility to recruit across a range of disciplines to fill immediate requirements and future ones, and we think it’s a great opportunity to learn, see your ideas come to life and really add value in a fast-paced environment. This is a role based in our Iselin, NJ office or Houston, TX, alongside our talented and welcoming human resources team.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that you'll spend a lot of time talking to people. We work as one talent acquisition team supporting the North America business. You’ll need to understand the roles, what managers want, and how we’re going to attract people to apply to us. Candidate attraction is one of the most important factors of the role. You’ll need to utilize a proactive approach to candidate sourcing and will be empowered to utilize the freshest techniques and encouraged to explore and trial new ideas. You will be the main point of contact for people who’re applying; answering their queries, finding out information from them, setting up interviews, and giving feedback. First and foremost, it is essential that everyone receives a first-class experience.

We use a global recruitment system that tracks applications and you’ll get lots of training on how to use it. Things you’ll be doing include advertising vacancies to agreed job boards, screening applications, proactively sourcing quality candidates, developing your own social media campaigns, setting up interviews and seeking approvals. There’s lots of juggling tasks and keeping track of what needs doing, but also prioritizing urgent work.

Candidate Specification

To join our team, you’ll need some recruitment experience and ideally have recruited roles in an agency/external environment. You need to be confident, proactive, and creative. We work as a close-knit team and everyone has a voice so it’s important to us that you’re someone who has a genuine interest in recruitment; taking pride in everything you do. It’s also a role for someone who wants to develop and progress in a talent role, asking good questions and having a curiosity to learn.

We’re looking for someone who has:
  • 2+ years’ experience as a recruitment consultant/advisor/talent acquisition assistant
  • an applied knowledge of direct candidate attraction techniques
  • experience of developing and drafting unique job descriptions and appealing recruitment campaigns
  • high attention to detail through a personable and professional approach
  • ability to deliver excellent candidate experience in a candidate led market
  • ability to work proactively and manage own workload
  • experience recruiting in power, renewables, pipelines or oil and gas engineering would be an advantage, but not essential
