Employee diversity
We will improve our employee diversity
We aim to have a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities in which we work. Where appropriate we will also take proactive and positive steps to ensure we can access diverse talent from our local and global communities. Wellbeing
To create an environment where our people are happy, healthy and safe; enabling everyone to achieve their full potential, thrive and be empowered to take responsibility for, and focus on, our own health and wellbeing priorities
We create an environment in which all employees can thrive and are empowered to take responsibility for, and focus on, their own health and wellbeing priorities, together with that of our colleagues. Our approach is focused on both physical and mental wellbeing. We have signed the Time to Change Employer Pledge and participate in the annual Vitality Health Insurance Healthiest Workplace in Britain survey (31st out of 139 in 2017).
We will promote use of advanced technologies among the staff
Twice a year we survey a cross-section of staff (3000) based on grade, region and sector to assess digital maturity across the business. This covers behaviour; proficiency of tools; technology planning; design software; and business development. Scores are entered on a sliding scale of 0 to 50 and converted to scores from 0 to 5.
