Mott MacDonald has appointed Gregg Barton as a divisional director in Leeds, UK. Gregg will be responsible for further developing the consultancy’s growing transport advisory business across the north of England, with a focus on rail and local authority clients.
Gregg has over 20 years’ experience working across several infrastructure sectors and industries, such as utilities, energy, transport, government and commercial. He possesses a proven track-record of implementing and delivering complex projects and programmes for clients including the Environment Agency, Highways England, Leeds City Council, Manchester Airport Group, Network Rail, Transport for Greater Manchester, Yorkshire Water and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
He joins Mott MacDonald from Turner & Townsend, where he was a regional lead director in its infrastructure business. Gregg has held key positions on several strategic working groups, such as the HS2 East Partnership Board, Leeds City Regional Supply Council and Chamber of Commerce working groups. He has also advised multiple local authorities on devolution and regional economic challenges, plus supported the National Infrastructure Commission on the future shape of UK infrastructure.
