Mott MacDonald has appointed Mark Baynham as director of roads Scotland. Mark, who joins from the UK Government’s Cabinet Office, has 30 years of experience in roads and the public sector and will be responsible for delivering projects and developing the consultancy’s offering throughout Scotland.
Mark Baynham is a chartered civil engineer. Prior to the Cabinet Office, Mark worked for Transport Scotland and consultants Jacobs, where he managed the procurement of complex £multi-billion Scottish trunk road services and led many transportation infrastructure projects across Europe and Australasia. He is also an experienced business leader having managed project portfolios of £70m fees at director level across the globe.
At Mott MacDonald, Mark will be responsible for the delivery of the consultancy’s portfolio of roads projects across Scotland, including work for Transport Scotland. He will lead its roads teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh, helping them to deliver excellent client solutions and social outcomes.
