Mott MacDonald has appointed Peter Weller as technical director, with a focus on developing the growing transport planning capability in the group’s Newcastle office, as well as supporting growth of the transport planning presence across the North East and Yorkshire.
Peter is a highly experienced traffic engineer and transport planner, with over 20 years of experience working in consultancy roles with public and private sector clients in the UK, New Zealand and Middle East.
Peter’s recent project highlights include technical leadership of transport access for railway station masterplan projects in the North East and Yorkshire and on detailed design of a 500-space station car park in the East Midlands. This recent work builds on his past experience in traffic engineering design in the North East and Yorkshire and designing multi-modal access solutions for industrial and mixed-use sites in the UK and overseas. He also has extensive experience in design and microsimulation traffic modelling of public transport priority projects.
