Biography
Alex brings over two decades of experience in structural engineering and project leadership to deliver impactful, sustainable infrastructure solutions. He is responsible for the overall financial performance, delivery and business growth for Mott MacDonald building projects across the north of England, island of Ireland and Scotland.
Since joining Mott MacDonald in 2003, Alex’s career has spanned three continents and multiple sectors, including healthcare, transport, aviation, education, sports venues and high-rise buildings. He has worked on complex landmark projects, such as the Toronto Pearson Airport upgrades, Oman’s national hospital programme and Liberty Place in Sydney, Australia. Alex has held senior leadership roles in the UK and internationally, including serving as divisional general manager for infrastructure in Canada, where he oversaw CAD$100M in annual net revenue and multidisciplinary teams across three time zones.
In his current role, Alex leads a team of more than 350 people delivering buildings projects with a net revenue of around £40M per year.
