Andrew McNaughton

Andrew McNaughton was appointed one of Mott MacDonald’s non-executive directors in September 2026.

Having spent over 40 years delivering projects and leading businesses in industry, Andrew brings a depth of knowledge of the delivery of complex infrastructure projects and programmes, both across the UK and internationally.

Andrew also has significant board level experience, previously serving as CEO of Balfour Beatty Plc and as an executive board director for AWE Plc. In addition to his role with Mott MacDonald, Andrew currently serves as non-executive director for Thames Water Utilities Limited, British Steel, Sheffield Forgemasters and Speedy Hire Plc.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and is the Vice President of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).  He was also awarded a CBE for services to national infrastructure in the King’s New Year Honours list 2026.
