Kevin MacLennan

Kevin MacLennan is portfolio director for public sector buildings, leading the development and delivery of multidisciplinary services across complex client portfolios, including education, justice, metro buildings and urban regeneration. A chartered mechanical engineer, he also heads the UK buildings decarbonisation team, where he specialises in helping organisations transition their buildings and energy systems to low carbon operation. He combines market leadership with technical expertise to support clients in delivering integrated solutions that improve performance, resilience and sustainability.

Kevin has played a leading role in major public sector programmes tackling some of the UK’s most pressing environmental challenges. This includes overseeing delivery of large-scale government-funded decarbonisation initiatives, supporting retrofit and heat network projects and providing technical leadership on programmes driving energy efficiency across a wide range of cities, estates and industrial sectors.

Kevin has also contributed to pioneering work in hydrogen and emerging energy technologies, supporting the transition to alternative low carbon fuels for heating and industry. His work consistently brings together technical insight, stakeholder engagement and programme leadership to unlock progress at scale.

Through his leadership, Kevin helps organisations navigate complex energy challenges and develop practical, deliverable solutions that support net zero targets and create more sustainable, resilient buildings and infrastructure.
