Biography
Matt's career at Mott MacDonald, which spans three decades, has been shaped by technical delivery, commercial leadership and programme management across some of the UK’s most complex transport and water infrastructure investments. An expert in commercial and project management, he has led multidisciplinary teams of more than 600 people on multi-billion-pound programmes such as High Speed 2 and Northern Powerhouse Rail.
Matt has delivered significant efficiencies, led cost intelligence initiatives and developed investment plans and business strategies for major UK water and transport companies. Driven by a passion for creating positive change within the industry, he believes in harnessing innovative approaches to overcome challenges and shape sustainable futures. His expertise spans commercial strategy, programme leadership, cost assurance, NEC contract management and value driven delivery across large and complex programmes.
As transportation director, Matt drives strategic growth across a £50M portfolio spanning rail, highways, ports and local government. Matt is known for building strong client relationships, developing high-performing teams and collaborating across Mott MacDonald to add value to projects. He is committed to delivering excellent projects that delight clients.
