Biography
From railway stations and tunnels to airport infrastructure and long-span bridges, Tommy Szeto’s career has centred on some of the world’s most technically demanding transport projects. A chartered civil engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers based in Hong Kong, he brings more than 20 years of experience across transport and aviation infrastructure and construction engineering, with a particular focus on delivering in live operational environments.
His project experience includes Hong Kong's railway expansion programme, infrastructure associated with the Hong Kong International Airport three-runway system, Sydney Metro, and major bridge developments in Dubai, Singapore and Kuwait. He is equally comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams, managing client and contractor interfaces, and providing technical oversight from early planning through to construction.
Known for his strong technical judgement, Tommy helps clients, designers and contractors navigate complex engineering and delivery challenges while remaining a clear focus on constructability and programme objectives. His combination of technical expertise and delivery experience enables him to connect engineering ambition with the realities of implementation.
