This is a senior appointment with long-term career potential, working in a sector which is responding to and addressing the risks associated with climate change – identified as the most significant risk to global economic development. 

  

  • Manage and direct climate resilience, carbon mitigation, and sustainability projects for a range of public and private sector clients. The following are examples of CC&S scope: GHG inventories, embodied carbon assessments climate risk assessments, adaptation planning implementing the Envision standard and Net Zero planning. 

  • Support buildings, transportation and other infrastructure planning and design projects, including coordinating climate mitigation, risk, and resilience processes and applying related tools / frameworks (e.g., SDGs, ENVISION) 

  • Exercise project leadership through supporting project managers and teams to deliver high-quality work and exercise sound commercial awareness. 

  • Participate in the wider global community of advisory and climate change consultants within Mott MacDonald, collaborating with colleagues across all Regions. 

  • Together with others in the team, provide thought leadership in the market, prepare materials for and attend industry events, and engage with our clients to share our collective experience. 

  

Candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience will be considered for the role: 

  • A post-secondary degree in Geography, Environment, or related field from an accredited college or university. 

  • 5+ years of career experience related to engineering and/or infrastructure (including social infrastructure) development 

  • Sound commercial understanding and desire to operate within a dynamic commercial environment 

  • Clear, concise writing style and experience in proposal writing for a range of audiences 

  • Familiar and proficient with project management principles and processes, including budgeting and managing contractual 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working within a team environment 

  • Excellent written and presentation skills 

  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Benefits & Rewards 

 

The expected salary for this position is $100k - $125k.

 

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
