About the role:
To lead and oversee architectural supervision activities during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases of major infrastructure project, ensuring compliance with design intent, quality standards, safety regulations, authority requirements, and project delivery objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage architectural supervision activities during construction and handover phases.
- Review and recommend approval of shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, method statements, RFIs, and inspection requests.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, UAE regulations, RTA requirements, accessibility standards, and fire & life safety codes.
- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, quality, and progress of architectural works.
- Coordinate architectural interfaces with civil, structural, MEP, rail systems, utilities, and other disciplines.
- Support integration of enhancement works within operational metro station environments.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve construction, quality, and technical issues.
- Review NCRs, design changes, variation orders, and contractor claims related to architectural works.
- Liaise with the Client, operators, authorities, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate approvals and resolve site matters.
- Support project reporting, programme monitoring, risk mitigation, and progress assessments.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
- Review architectural snagging, as-built documentation, defect rectification, testing, commissioning support, and final handover deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records and provide technical guidance to inspectors and project teams.
- Promote continuous improvement, BIM implementation, digital delivery, and knowledge sharing across the project team.
- Support continuous improvement and digital ways of working, sharing knowledge and lessons learned.

Candidate Specification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or relevant degree from a recognized university.
- Strong experience in architectural construction supervision for infrastructure, transportation, metro, rail, or large-scale building projects.
- Proven expertise in reviewing and coordinating shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, mock-ups, and inspection requests.
- Sound knowledge of UAE building regulations, standards, accessibility requirements, and Fire & Life Safety codes.
- Experience in coordinating architectural works with Civil, Structural, MEP, Rail Systems, and Utilities disciplines.
- Strong capability in monitoring contractor performance, workmanship, quality assurance, and construction progress.
- Experience handling site inspections, NCRs, design changes, variation orders, snagging, defect rectification, and project handover activities.
- Familiarity with working in operational/live station or transportation environments.
- Proficiency in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and digital project delivery platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Strong commitment to Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability requirements.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and manage multiple priorities within demanding project schedules.
