About the Division
The Water Utilities Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to the UK and Ireland's water and wastewater challenges. The work we do is at the forefront of ensuring safe water supplies for future generations, preventing urban flooding, and improving the health of our rivers and coastal environments. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide a variety of services throughout the full project life cycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies to outline and detailed design. Together, we deliver best-in-class solutions to our clients while offering diverse and technically stimulating opportunities to our people.
Overview of the role
Come and join our UK & Europe-wide Wastewater Network Modelling Team, delivering some of the water industry's most challenging and high-profile projects for clients including Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Southern Water, Thames Water, Uisce Éireann, United Utilities and Wessex Water. Our team is at the forefront of digital innovation, using industry-standard tools such as InfoWorks ICM, GIS and FME, together with bespoke automation solutions, to improve efficiency and deliver better outcomes for our clients.
You will work alongside experienced technical specialists and project leaders on nationally significant programmes covering wastewater network modelling, water quality modelling, storm overflow reduction, Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans (DWMPs), network resilience and environmental improvement schemes. Through this work, you'll help shape more sustainable, climate-resilient water infrastructure and support improvements to river and bathing water quality. Whether working on standalone modelling studies or as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your career while contributing to projects that deliver meaningful environmental and societal benefits.
