We're seeking a highly connected, commercially-minded leader to strengthen relationships with key clients, identify new opportunities, and drive growth across our transportation, municipal infrastructure, and advisory businesses.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior leaders across municipalities, provincial agencies, transit authorities, infrastructure owners, and strategic partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate complex infrastructure, growth, mobility, and resilience challenges while positioning Mott MacDonald as a preferred partner.
- Develop and execute client engagement and account strategies that drive long-term growth and strengthen our presence in the Alberta market.
- Identify, qualify, and advance strategic opportunities across transportation, transit, municipal infrastructure, water, and advisory services.
- Lead pursuit and capture activities, including opportunity positioning, proposal development, client presentations, and commercial discussions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and globally to deliver innovative and integrated solutions for clients.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight on key projects and programs, ensuring successful outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
- Represent Mott MacDonald at industry events, conferences, and professional associations, enhancing our reputation and expanding our network across the infrastructure sector.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and help shape the future direction of our transportation, municipal infrastructure, and advisory businesses.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in transportation, municipal infrastructure, strategic advisory, engineering consulting, or a related infrastructure sector.
- A strong professional network and established reputation within Alberta's engineering, transportation, transit, municipal infrastructure, or advisory markets.
- Demonstrated success building executive-level relationships with public sector clients, infrastructure owners, and key decision-makers.
- Experience working with organizations such as the City of Calgary, Government of Alberta, municipalities, transit authorities, or other major public-sector agencies.
- A proven track record of business development, client account management, strategic positioning, and winning complex pursuits.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities, influence decisions, and drive business growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to lead through influence, build consensus, and foster collaboration across diverse teams and organizations.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: transportation and transit, highways, municipal infrastructure, water and wastewater, urban mobility, strategic advisory, bridges, program management, or major capital project delivery.

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
The expected salary range for this position is from $160,000 - $200,000
