About the business unit
The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
Overview of the role
Mott MacDonald is expanding its energy business in Germany and is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of major transmission and distribution projects across Germany and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial professional who is looking to be challenged in playing a pivotal role to grow a team from scratch. You will play a key role in working on high-profile grid expansion programmes, renewable energy connections and transmission infrastructure projects supporting transmission system operators and developers as Germany accelerates its energy transition.
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of substation designs from concept through detailed design and construction support.
This role enables you to take technical ownership of substation projects spanning 110kV, 220kV and 380kV systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Europe.
