Your Opportunity
Due to exciting upcoming projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Designer to be part of our Buildings services team in Melbourne. You will be joining a diverse team of people that are passionate about what they do, with a proven track record of guiding our projects and clients, and leading the delivery of digital ways of working across infrastructure projects.
As a Senior Digital Designer, you'll lead digital delivery and BIM coordination across a diverse range of building projects, ensuring excellence in model quality, information management and project outcomes. You'll work closely with project teams, clients and our Global Delivery Service (GDS) teams to deliver innovative digital solutions while mentoring and developing emerging BIM professionals.
This role will suit an experienced digital delivery leader who enjoys combining technical expertise, project leadership and innovation to improve project performance and client outcomes.
Lead Digital Delivery
- Act as BIM Lead on major Building Services projects from design through to delivery.
- Lead BIM coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Develop and manage BIM Execution Plans, Digital Delivery Plans and model governance processes.
- Facilitate model reviews, clash detection workshops and coordination activities.
- Ensure project deliverables meet client, quality and programme requirements.
Drive Technical Excellence
- Promote best practice BIM standards, workflows, templates and content management.
- Support the development and implementation of national BIM standards and procedures.
- Champion integrated engineering and engineer-led modelling approaches.
- Contribute to automation, computational design and digital innovation initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in digital delivery processes and information management.
Mentor and Develop Teams
- Provide leadership, mentoring and technical support to BIM Designers and developing practitioners.
- Support capability development, recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Foster collaboration across offices, disciplines and project teams.
- Help build a strong digital delivery culture across the Buildings team.
Collaborate Nationally and Globally
- Contribute to the national Buildings BIM network and digital delivery strategy.
- Support the effective integration of Global Delivery Service (GDS) resources into project teams.
- Promote knowledge sharing, consistency and collaboration across the wider business.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies, workflows and innovative delivery methods.
About You
- Experience delivering BIM and digital design solutions within the Buildings sector.
- Advanced Revit capability across Building Services disciplines.
- Experience leading BIM delivery on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination, information management and digital delivery processes.
- Experience working with cloud-based Common Data Environments such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles.
- Experience coordinating and managing offshore or global project delivery teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
