Your Opportunity 

 

Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Built Environment team has an exciting opening for a Senior Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering Professional in our Sydney office. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering city-shaping projects across Australia.

 

This is a key role within the Mott MacDonald building services team, to apply your knowledge of mechanical services to provide site-based services, for the review of installation, testing and commissioning of Metro Stations within Sydney, you will be:

 

You Will

 

  • Acting as the Engineer responsible for Mechanical systems (Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Computer Room Air Conditioning units, Chillers, Refrigeration Equipment or any other type of ventilation and air-conditioning system in large scale infrastructure projects) and provide domain expertise in Sydney Metro and within Mott MacDonald
  • Leading mechanical design packages from concept through detailed design and construction support
  • Providing technical advice on system engineering, design and assurance matters considering delivery, operation, and maintenance of the system.
  • Identify continuous improvements in the architecture and specifications of systems.
  • Managing project deliverables to agreed programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Acting as the primary mechanical engineering interface with clients and project stakeholders.

 

About You  

 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or demonstrable pathway towards chartership preferred.
  • Significant experience in mechanical building services design within a consulting environment.
  • Experience delivering complex projects across sectors such as aviation, health, education, commercial, life sciences or major infrastructure-related buildings.
  • Strong understanding of NCC, Australian Standards, energy efficiency requirements, smoke control and ventilation design principles.
  • Experience with Revit/BIM-enabled design delivery and mechanical engineering analysis tools.
