Mott MacDonald is expanding its Water practice in North America, and we are seeking a  Senior Project Manager to join our growing team of seller - doers in Denver, CO.

 

In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, providing both technical leadership and project management across the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through construction and commissioning. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work closely with clients, regulators, and partners to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage water and wastewater treatment projects from concept through delivery including financial performance
  • Provide process engineering expertise, including treatment plant design and optimization
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budgets, ensuring successful delivery
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders
  • Develop and review technical reports, design documents, and specifications
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management
  • Strong experience in process design for treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems Proficient in Autodesk® AutoCAD LT® and Revit
  • Proven ability to deliver projects across planning, design, and construction phases
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Colorado preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, budgets, and client relationships
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.

 

 

The expected salary for this position is $140,000 - $171,000.
