Your Opportunity  

 

Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Transport team has an exciting opportunity for a driven Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic Bridges and Civil Structures team in Victoria. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, multidisciplinary projects in collaboration with government authorities and Tier 1 contractors.

 

Our projects are predominantly infrastructure based, and as a Senior Engineer - Bridges & Civil Structures, you will be working on large scale multidiscipinary projects that shape the communities in which we live. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia.  With a focus on creating safe and climate resilient infrastructure that benefits the economy, society and the environment, you will have the opportunity to:  

 

Your role

 

  • Production of structural designs for civil elements such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls and minor structures
  • Interpreting design intent sketches provided by the project engineers
  • Complying with company and project-specific modelling and drawing standards
  • Leading design packages including design, calculations, report writing, risk assessments, stakeholder engagement and stakeholder engagement
  • Multi-disciplinary design coordination with interfacing engineering disciplines on a range of projects across various sectors

 

Essential

 

  • Chartered Civil Engineer (CPEng) with Professional Registration in Victoria (RPEV)
  • Able to carry out complex structural design and modelling with limited supervision from senior team members
  • Comprehensive experience of structural design and analysis packages
  • Demonstrated experience in leading all elements of structural design
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure to meet competing deadlines

 

Desirable

 

  • Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ)
  • RIW competencies for MTM and ARTC
  • Experience in mentoring and/or managing junior staff
