Job Description:

The individual will be part of the Tax Centre of Excellence based in Bengaluru and will support the management of tax accounting and reporting across the APAC and ISMA regions in line with the Group’s external reporting requirements. The role includes coordinating and reviewing tax-related matters with external auditors, as well as supporting corporate tax compliance activities in collaboration with regional finance teams.

 


Duties and responsibilities of the Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager 

 

  • Lead the review and oversight of periodic tax filings (including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax) across the region, working with local finance teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
  • Manage the delivery of quarterly and annual tax reporting for the region, ensuring compliance with Group Tax policies, timelines, and reporting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of annual tax disclosures for statutory financial statements, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely completion.
  • Establish and maintain robust tax documentation, governance processes, and audit trails to support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Monitor developments in regional tax legislation, assess business impacts, and drive the implementation of necessary changes to compliance and reporting processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Shared Services, and other stakeholders to address tax matters, resolve complex issues, and support business objectives.
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of key tax risk areas, including supporting regional readiness for BEPS Pillar Two compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the corporate tax control framework, ensuring effective governance and risk management across the region.
  • Manage the tax accounting implications of business, operational, and accounting changes, providing guidance on associated tax risks and reporting considerations.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, standardization, and quality of tax compliance and reporting activities.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to regional finance teams and contribute to strategic tax projects and initiatives across the region.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities where required, ensuring effective support and representation of the Group's tax interests.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Qualified CA preferred.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong background in tax accounting and reporting and in leading compliance processes (8-10 years) having experience in corporate & indirect taxation 
  • Experience in Onesource is an advantage
  • Experience with implementing tax accounting or tax compliance technology solutions an advantage
  • Strong project management, organizational and communication skills
  • Process improvement mindset
