Biography
Good transport decisions start with a clear understanding of how people, places and networks interact. Andrew is a technical director in transport with more than 30 years working in transport planning, modelling, business case development and strategic advisory services across New Zealand and Australia. He specialises in using analytics, modelling and policy insight to help clients evaluate options, understand trade-offs and prioritise investment.
Andrew has contributed to some of New Zealand’s most significant transport programmes for clients including Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Auckland Transport, regional and local councils. His experience encompasses rapid transit, motorway planning, emissions reduction, urban redevelopment and major business cases. By translating complex analysis into clear, practical advice, he helps decision-makers navigate uncertainty, assess strategic choices and prioritise investment. Working within multidisciplinary teams, Andrew connects robust technical evidence with recommendations that can be confidently implemented.
