Erin Flaherty

Erin Flaherty was appointed as a non-executive in September 2026 having previously served as the chair of Mott MacDonald’s shareholders' committee and as an independent committee member.

Based in Sydney, Erin has extensive leadership and board level experience in both the public and private sectors playing a significant role in some of Australia's most important transport projects.

Alongside her role at Mott MacDonald, Erin is chair of the Australian government's National Intermodal Corporation and a non-executive director of Inland Rail Pty Ltd, helping to oversee major investments that strengthen the country's freight and transport networks. Her wider portfolio includes board and committee leadership roles across infrastructure investment, education, community and cultural organisations.

Previous positions also include executive director at Infrastructure NSW, a member of the advisory board for Sydney Metro and deputy CEO and commercial manager at Reliance Rail. This is alongside significant experience in investment management as a guardian of the Future Fund, Australia’s sovereign wealth fund, as well as legal advisory services.
