Biography
As the marine business lead for the Middle East, Mostafa Ahmed oversees multidisciplinary coastal and marine projects across the region. He joined Mott MacDonald in January 2025, bringing more than 19 years of specialist experience in coastal engineering, port development, reclamation works and advanced numerical modelling.
Mostafa integrates marine engineering seamlessly into complex masterplans, shaping waterfronts, beaches, hard edges, marinas, ports, marine intakes/outfalls and open‑water recreation zones. He takes an analytical and sustainability-focused approach to projects. From concept through detailed design and implementation he provides expert guidance on shoreline stability, island‑edge conditions, flood‑defence levels and coastal setbacks.
He offers strong technical leadership in design‑and‑build coastal infrastructure development, hydrodynamic modelling and environmental assessments. Known for his collaborative approach and commitment to client satisfaction, Mostafa consistently delivers resilient, innovative solutions that help transform ambitious waterfront visions into long‑term, climate‑adaptive coastal assets.
