Richard brings a broad, cross-market perspective shaped by experience working across complex infrastructure, government and security focused programmes. His background spans both strategic advisory and hands-on delivery across multiple markets, giving him a strong understanding of how policy intent translates into practical outcomes on the ground.

In his current role, Richard leads client engagement across our contracting clients and defence and security, drawing on lessons from adjacent markets such as transport, infrastructure and government services. This broader lens enables him to support clients in navigating uncertainty, managing risk and planning long-term capability, rather than responding solely to immediate operational pressures.

Richard is particularly interested in how organisations adapt to change – whether driven by technology, evolving security priorities or shifting public expectations – and how programmes can be structured to remain flexible over time.

Based in Sydney, Richard is focused on strengthening Mott MacDonald’s presence in Australia, building trusted relationships and supporting clients through complex transformation, investment and assurance challenges across defence, security and beyond.
