Thomas Knight

From his early days as an apprentice to his current role as transport development director, Thomas Knight brings over 25 years of experience in delivering major infrastructure projects for Mott MacDonald. A Chartered Civil Engineer and long-time member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Thomas has led multidisciplinary teams across the road, rail and aviation sectors, and was instrumental in establishing Mott MacDonald’s transport business in New South Wales, Australia. His commitment to improving social outcomes through engineering has shaped landmark projects across the globe, including the A3 Hindhead tunnel, Heathrow Expansion Programme, Sydney Airport access improvements and the North West Rail Link.

A specialist in bridge, geotechnical and environmental design, digital engineering (BIM) and integrated project delivery, Thomas is known for his technical excellence, ability to foster strong client relationships and collaborative approach to solving complex infrastructure challenges.
