About the business unit  
The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.

 

Overview of the role

As a Graduate Rail Engineer, you are familiar working to industry codes and standards and are comfortable pushing boundaries where appropriate. You have a good understanding of structural behaviours and are able to translate this knowledge into effective structural design within rail structures. You also have good structural understanding with the ability to grasp analytical techniques and interrogate the results of analysis.

 

Candidate specification

Essential:

  • Be able to design the infrastructure projects
  • Be able to use Bentley Microstation and interested in BIM
  • Be able to draft in AutoCAD products
  • Be able to implement CAD systems, Digital processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of design codes for RLS projects
  • High level of motivation and dedication, an appetite for fast-paced major projects, and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Czech and English
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
