We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Scheduler with strong expertise in project timelines, sequencing, and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of project scheduling methodologies and tools and the ability to monitor progress and identify potential delays proactively.

 

This role suits a collaborative professional with strong communication skills who can work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely execution of projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Work Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of project scheduling across all stages (pre-contract and post-contract).
  • Preparation and maintenance of detailed project schedules aligned with baseline timelines.
  • Ability to develop and manage resource-loaded schedules.
  • Hands-on experience in scheduling for construction of industrial/manufacturing facilities.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
  • Familiarity with Civil, Structural, and MEP project components.

 

Pre-Contract Responsibilities

  • Support development of preliminary project schedules during the planning phase.
  • Assist in defining timelines for design development and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to establish realistic sequencing and durations.
  • Review proposed timelines from contractors/vendors and highlight risks.
  • Support planning of work packages and procurement timelines including long-lead items.

 

Post-Contract Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed execution schedules in coordination with contractors and vendors.
  • Monitor and update schedules regularly based on project progress.
  • Track critical milestones and flag delays or schedule slippages.
  • Review contractor schedules and ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
  • Participate in weekly/fortnightly/monthly progress meetings to discuss schedule performance.
  • Assist in identifying mitigation strategies to recover delays.

 

Monitoring & Control

  • Compare planned vs. actual progress and highlight deviations.
  • Support preparation of delay analysis reports and recovery plans.
  • Monitor interdependencies between different work packages.
  • Ensure schedule integrity and accuracy at all times.

 

Documentation and MIS Reporting

  • Maintain updated project schedules and progress records.
  • Prepare periodic reports including schedule performance updates, delay analysis and risk flags and look-ahead schedules (2-week / 4-week)
  • Support the preparation of monthly project reports.
  • Ensure documentation of changes, revisions, and version control of schedules.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Experience working on industrial / manufacturing / construction projects preferred.
  • Strong expertise in project scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, project schedules and technical documentation
  • Good understanding of construction sequence across Civil and MEP works.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools (MS Project / Primavera P6).
  • Strong analytical and coordination skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines and pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

 

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) projects.
  • Familiarity with long-lead industrial equipment scheduling.
  • Exposure to digital tools or project management software platforms.
