Job Description :
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer having relevant experience to join our team in Noida and take a role in the delivery of Underground Transportation projects. These cover the full spectrum of Underground Structure engineering from the sustainable design of new structures (underground stations, cut and cover tunnels, launching and receiving shafts etc.) to the use of emerging technologies together with advanced structural and basic geotechnical analysis to solve some of the most challenging Underground Transpiration Structure problems. The scale of our projects ranges from small and bespoke design commissions through to some of the most significant infrastructure projects within worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete assigned tasks in accordance with quality, timescales, and budgeted hours.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives to develop design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
Comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Development and review of functional concept design, technical solutions, design calculations, drawings specifications, cost estimates.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Mott MacDonald's quality standard procedures.
Provide technical mentoring to the team and others for the key service areas provided by Civil Structures team.
Provide leadership with knowledge management and digital delivery initiatives for the team.
Lead, inspire and motivate people in the team to achieve high levels of performance and excellence.
Provide supervision and mentoring, identifying opportunities for professional development and progression along with specific line management responsibilities for designated direct reports, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Foster a culture of right first-time delivery and work with Project Managers/Principals to ensure effective project delivery.
Work with the Senior discipline staff and Resource Managers to proactively manage workloads and effective forecasting and ensure maximum utilisation of team members, allocate appropriate staff to projects or bids as agreed.
Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements and standards are met.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Lead and support detailed design of new underground structures, including concept development, analysis, and design documentation
Apply national and international design codes and standards across various project phases
Collaborate with geotechnical, architecture, MEP and digital engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions

Qualifications:
Degree qualified in civil engineering (BE/B. Tech./ME/M. Tech./ MSc or equivalent).
M.Tech or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Rock and Underground Structures or a related field.
Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in underground Transportation structural works.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience and a commitment to effective management of Health, Safety and Welfare, Safety by Design.
Demonstrable experience in Underground Transportation structure analysis, design and assessment including an ability to undertake and oversee the analysis of structures using standard industry software, such as, MIDAS Civil, STAAD Pro, Robot, SAP2000
Basic knowledge of geotechnical analysis software like PLAXIS 2D/3D, MIDAS GTS NX or similar.Preparation and review of technical approval documentation for highway and rail structures from Underground Structure Point of view.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and new technologies.
Perform advanced structural analyses, including finite element analysis and modelling, limit equilibrium and soil-structure interaction analysis for tunnel linings, retaining systems, deep foundations (well, pile, Diaphragm Wall, barrette), and ground improvement.
Proficient with construction stage analysis for underground structure and deep excavation.
Understanding the use of Geotechnical Investigation report and experienced to suggest Geotechnical Investigation requirements considering the project type and country specific requirement. Understanding of recommendations based on the report as bearing capacity, pile capacity, soil springs etc.
Ability to deliver high-quality design documentation including option appraisals, drawings, calculations, reports, specifications and construction documentation from Geotechnical Point of view.
An excellent understanding of relevant international standards (e.g. Eurocodes, AASHTO, AREMA etc.).
Basic commercial and financial awareness, and basic understanding to plan and monitor project programmes, budgets and resources to ensure delivery to time and cost constraints.
General IT software skills, such as, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Bentley and Autodesk software.
Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (written and verbal)
Desirable Competencies / Skills:
Experience in the preparation of fee proposals and tender submissions would be advantageous.
Knowledge of the sustainable design of bridges and civil structures would be advantageous.
Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE) will be an added advantage.
Experience in construction stage support for an Underground Transportation Structure will be an added advantage.
Experience of digital delivery tools and workflows, for example BIM, parametric design and automation.
