Mott MacDonald, the global engineering, development and management consultancy, has appointed Cory Dippold as its new chief technical officer (CTO).
Cory will be responsible for driving the culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement across the Group. As the CTO, he will help to apply more advanced digital capabilities to major engineering projects, as well as collaborate with networks across Mott MacDonald that are dedicated to professional and technical excellence.
Based in the United States, Cory brings over two decades of extensive experience in delivering large infrastructure projects and has had an active role in the business’ digital transformation.
During his time at Mott MacDonald Cory has helped deliver major projects in the New York area including City Water Tunnel No.3, the reconstruction of the Lower Catskill Aqueduct and the Interconnection at Shaft 4. His experience extends across North America as well as developing digital delivery approaches for major projects elsewhere in Mott MacDonald’s global regions including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mott MacDonald has appointed Rachel Ellison to the new position of operations director for UK and Europe. Rachel will play a central leadership role across the region together with Richard Risdon in his dual role as managing director for UK and Europe and group strategy director on the executive board.
Based in Sydney, Mark will lead the company’s operations across the state, driving strategic growth and delivering innovative solutions for clients and communities throughout the region.
Mott MacDonald has appointed Paul Bentley to its executive board, effective 1 January 2026. Paul has worked as a director in Mott MacDonald’s contracting business, JN Bentley, since 1999 and he will continue in this role.
