This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that help shape sustainable and resilient communities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and globally.

What you will do

As a GIS Consultant, you will:

  • Create, maintain, manage and analyse spatial datasets using ArcGIS Pro and other GIS platforms.
  • Publish and manage geospatial information through ArcGIS Portal and support Moata Geospatial data management activities.
  • Produce high-quality mapping, visualisation and spatial analysis outputs to support infrastructure, environmental and land-related projects.
  • Maintain data quality standards, metadata, coordinate systems and audit processes.
  • Contribute to environmental constraints mapping, land referencing activities and project reporting.
  • Investigate GIS-related issues and provide practical, user-focused solutions.
  • Respond to GIS and Moata Geospatial support requests from project teams and shared service channels.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across environmental, engineering, digital, land and GIS disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance GIS processes, tools and ways of working.

  • Experience managing metadata, structured datasets and data governance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Commitment to collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Desirable

  • Experience using ArcGIS Portal, Moata Geospatial or other web GIS solutions.
  • Knowledge of environmental constraints mapping and/or land referencing.
  • Experience supporting major infrastructure, environmental or land development projects.
  • Familiarity with land parcel identification, digitising, field data collection and spatial analysis techniques.
  • Professional membership or accreditation with a relevant industry body.
  • Experience supporting UK-based projects and stakeholders.
