About the Role
We are looking for a Planning Engineer to support the project and construction management team on the delivery of an in-fill development in Abu Dhabi. 

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Integrate schedule requirements and constraints to establish work sequences for all disciplines or specialties.
  • Prepare schedule commentary appearing in progress reports
  • Identify the critical-path activities for project milestones 
  • Review and approve invoice verification for payment based on cost-loaded schedules 
  • Review schedule data; identify and acquire information needed to complete work to interface between project teams. 
  • Monitor schedule deviations including subcontractor submittals; recommend corrective action/work-around any issues that may arise

 

Candidate Specification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with certification in planning and scheduling of projects and in using Primavera applications (Primavera Project Management /P6 and Primavera Contract Management/Expedition) and cost engineering 
  • Prior experience in a similar role with an engineering consultancy or project management consultancy
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in project planning, budgeting, cost phasing and control from the project initiation to close out phases, utilizing computer-based systems (e.g. Primavera Project Management ‘P6’) 
  • Previous experience in reviewing and updating baselines, project schedules and cost using planning software and programmes
  • Be able to track, correspondences, drawings, submittals, daily reports, transmittals, Minutes of Meetings, BOQs, requests for inspection, requests for clarification, change orders and invoice, and payment requisitions 
  • Demonstrable experience in developing project wide work breakdown structures (WBS)
