About the business unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.
Overview of the role
Over the last year, our North America teams have seen an increase and growth in the major project space. One of our current focuses is looking at bringing the information management capability we have grown in the UK major project space to support our wider global teams.
We are looking for someone who can provide leadership in the digital space, with specific focus on developing our digital offering across our US business, with regular travel to the US business. You will be a senior member of our UK Information Management team, supporting the growth and development of the team. The UK Information Management account is a team of 40+ digital consultants driving digital transformation on all our major projects.
Outside of the leadership responsibilities, you’ll act as project lead driving digital transformation on major infrastructure projects. You’ll be involved with the development of strategies, planning of processes and implementation of tools to improve major project delivery. Sometimes this might be working directly with our clients, other times this might be supporting our internal delivery projects.
You will be an advocate for digital ways of working, a promoter of good information management and comfortable working closely with our clients to share our experience.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Candidate specification
You will be a seasoned Digital professional with experience in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction. Experience of working with international teams and across time zones would be beneficial and you will be open to occasional international travel. You understand the impact that information management and digital tools has on the design and construction phase of built environment projects. You understand the design process, design risk management, construction programming, tendering process and quality assurance management. You will need to have strong leadership qualities.
