The Opportunity

Our Transport team brings together specialists across rolling stock, railway systems, mechanical, electrical, and fire engineering to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the entire project lifecycle. From concept and design through to construction, testing and commissioning, we partner with clients to deliver safe, reliable and future-ready transport infrastructure.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will work closely with railway owners, operators, contractors, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the successful delivery of rail projects across the region.

You will be involved in:

• Reviewing and verifying rolling stock and railway system designs
• Supporting testing, commissioning and validation activities
• Conducting manufacturing surveillance and quality assessments
• Preparing technical reports, submissions and engineering documentation
• Managing interfaces between contractors, manufacturers and authorities
• Identifying and resolving technical issues to ensure project objectives are met
• Contributing technical expertise across a diverse portfolio of railway and transport projects

About You

You are a motivated engineer with a passion for rail systems and a desire to contribute to industry-leading projects.

You'll bring:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in the design, manufacturing, maintenance, support, or delivery of rolling stock and railway systems
• Sound knowledge of railway mechanical and/or electrical systems within a consultancy, operator, contractor, or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with local and international railway engineering standards
• Professional registration with the relevant local engineering institution
• Strong communication and technical report-writing skills in English
• The ability to communicate in Mandarin would be advantageous when working with Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders

Experience within an engineering consultancy or involvement in major rail infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
