We are looking for an experienced marketing professional to support marketing activity across the South Asia business unit.  

 

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the unit’s marketing and communications priorities, working closely with business stakeholders and the regional marketing team to help plan and coordinate activity. You will act as an important point of contact for marketing and communication support, helping to ensure activity is well organised, aligned to business needs and delivered effectively. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the annual unit marketing and communications plan, working with the Unit General Manager and Regional Marketing Manager.  
  • Coordinating quarterly activity updates and reviews to ensure key plans and activities are identified and visible to all across the function.   
  • Managing day-to-day unit marketing and communications activity, including the delivery of some activity directly and coordinating activity delivered by others in the function. 
  • Working closely with the regional marketing team on the delivery of unit marketing and communications activity, ensuring they are well briefed and supported.  
  • Providing practical marketing and communications advice and guidance to stakeholders across the unit.   
  • Being the key contact for all unit marketing and communications support requests and helping to maintain clear communication with key unit stakeholders on the status and progress of activities.   
  • Building effective relationships with colleagues across other units to support shared priorities and opportunities.  
  • Monitoring and reporting on activity performance and helping to identify learning and improvements for future activity.   
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of the unit’s events programme, including helping to assess which events to attend and coordinating activity with the regional marketing team. 
  • Contributing to awards submissions by helping to identify suitable opportunities, gather content and coordinate delivery with the regional marketing team. 
  • Identifying content themes, topics, subject matter experts and news from the unit, and working with the regional marketing on delivery to maintain a balanced and consistent flow of content.  
  • Supporting the development and delivery of key campaign activity for the unit in collaboration with the regional marketing team.  
  • Helping to ensure the unit is appropriately represented across core owned channels, such as the website, social media and marketing automation platform, as well as with relevant third party organisations or platforms; such as core industry bodies, sponsorships, press/media, etc. 
  • Supporting unit business development leads to develop and maintain updated marketing collateral to enable sales. 
  • Collaborate with marketing teams of clients for developing project case studies for the unit.  
  • Support the unit leadership teams with thought articles, brand promotion events and social media advocacy. 

 

Essential Candidate Requirements:

 

Essential

  • An experienced marketing and communications professional with a solid track record of supporting and delivering a range of marketing activities and communications.   
  • Demonstrable experience in contributing to marketing and communication plans and delivering marketing activities that support business outcomes and objectives.   
  • Good understanding of how to develop key messages and value propositions that differentiate and resonate with target audiences.   
  • Confident communicator, able to stay calm under pressure and deliver clear and reasoned actions and/or recommendations.    
  • Great team player who embodies our company values and culture, and who focuses on the wider needs of the business and function and unit.   
  • An effective collaborator who can build positive working relationships and work well with different perspectives and stakeholders.  
  • Experience of supporting, coordinating or informally guiding others, with the ability to contribute to a positive team environment. 
  • Comfortable taking ownership of agreed activities and being accountable for delivery and results within the scope of the role.

 

Desired 

  • Marketing or communication related degree, or another relevant qualification from an appropriate body. 
  • Working experience of 10-15 years in the industry  
  • Experience within a marketing team in a global B2B professional services, consulting, or STEM/technical organisation and/or experience working in a medium to large sized marketing function or agency.  
  • Experience in supporting growth-focused marketing activities and targeted marketing campaigns.   
  • Experience in helping to shape key messaging and/or narratives/value propositions that underpin marketing activities.   
  • An interest in coaching, developing and positively influencing others, including peers and colleagues across the function or business. 
  • Embrace diversity of thought and contribute new ideas and continuous improvement.   
  • Keen interest in developing your own skills, as well as the skills of others. 
  • Reasonable proficiency in using digital tools
