Mott MacDonald has appointed Alicia Ferrier as its water, environment and society leader for New South Wales, further strengthening its capability to support clients in addressing the state’s evolving water, environmental and infrastructure priorities.

A highly respected water industry leader, Alicia brings 20 years of international experience across water infrastructure, programme delivery, strategic client leadership and business growth. Throughout her career, she has led multidisciplinary teams, supported the delivery of major infrastructure programmes and built long-term partnerships with some of the market’s most significant clients. Prior to joining Mott MacDonald, Alicia held senior leadership and market-facing roles across the water sector, with experience spanning major capital programmes, utility and government clients, business development and the delivery of complex water and environmental outcomes.

In her new role, Alicia will lead Mott MacDonald’s water, environment and society business in New South Wales, working closely with clients and partners to shape practical, resilient and sustainable solutions to some of the state’s most complex challenges, from water security and climate resilience to sustainable infrastructure delivery.

The appointment builds on Mott MacDonald’s established water, environment and society capability in New South Wales and across Australia, where its teams support clients on projects and programmes spanning water security, wastewater, flood resilience, environmental approvals, climate adaptation and sustainable infrastructure planning.
