Mott MacDonald is currently seeking a Civil Project Manager to support clients across Western Canada from our Vancouver office. The individual in this position will be responsible for successfully leading and delivering a variety of transportation, ports/terminals, land development projects. You'll be responsible for engaging and working with our clients in the local public transportation sector, including the province, contractors, and local municipalities to develop strong working relationships and deliver a variety of multi-modal transportation assignments including ports/terminals, road/highway, land development or drainage projects.

As Civil Project Manager your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
 

  • Leads the delivery of preliminary and detailed design development for major infrastructure projects including but not limited to roads/highways, port/terminals, utilities and municipal infrastructure.
  • Engage as part of large multi-disciplinary design teams for civil infrastructure or other transportation related projects, and review design documents for consistency and coordination.
  • Develop quantity take-offs, design criteria, and design reports throughout various stages of preliminary, functional, and detailed design.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff, including engineer, consultants and project specialists. 
  • Assist in the project proposal process as required.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders in the ongoing support to the business plan.

As the qualified candidate, you possess the following skills/qualifications: 
 

  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and P.Eng designation registered with EGBC or eligible to obtain within 3 months. 
  • 5-10 years of civil design experience;
  • Experience designing infrastructure for marine construction (nearshore, and offshore structures) and deep foundations for land development projects (near shore) would be an asset.
  • Good working knowledge of Provincial and TAC design standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and a good working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and harbour good working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients.

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.

 

 

The expected salary range for this position is from $98,000 - $120,000
